The goal of the BIOFOREVER project is to demonstrate the feasibility of an European biorefinery for the production of lignocellulosic sugars, lignin/lignosulfonates and other (downstream) products including carbon binders, enzymes, ethanol, butanol, nano-celluloses and resin acids. In the frame of this workshop various technologies for the conversion of woody biomass to lignocellulosic sugars will be presented and discussed.

IBB Netzwerk GmBH, partner in the LIGNOFLAG and SUNLIQUID consortium, will also take part in the workshop and will inform interested visitors about the building of the first-of-its-kind sunliquid commercial-scale flagship plant for the production of cellulosic ethanol from agricultural residues and the advantages of the sunliquid® technology.

The aim of the workshop is to create interest amongst workshop participants to explore participation in biorefinery projects as feedstock suppliers, for the off-take of ethanol, cellulosic sugars or other bio-based products and/or as investors.
