The Industrial Biotechnology Forum (IBF) 2016 focuses on the core fields of industrial biotechnology – enzyme engineering, metabolic engineering, bioprocess engineering, and bioseparation engineering. As the launching event of a biennial conference, the IBF 2016 intends to initiate an interdisciplinary exchange and productive discussion on current trends, recent scientific results and future technologies in the field of Industrial Biotechnology science. At the conference, interested visitors will also have the opportunity to receive some interesting information about the SUNLIQUID project for the commercial production of cellulosic ethanol. The Industrial Biotechnolgy Forum is organized by the Industrielle Biotechnologie Bayern Netzwerk GmbH with scientific support provided by the TUM Research Center for Industrial Biotechnology.
